Arcaze-FSUIPC-Connector Support • Portuguese Jersey

Lucy Bronze may have grown up in north Northumberland and have the accent to prove it but her olive skin suggests a southern European heritage.
“My dad’s Portuguese, from Lisbon,” says Mark Sampson’s right-back, who looks set to be a star of Euro 2017. “My mum, who is English, met him in Faro and she’ll make sure he’s supporting England on Thursday night. He’ll be told who to support.”
Bronze will run out against her father Joaquin’s homeland in Tilburg knowing that Authentic Bob Uecker Womens Jersey the Lionesses require a point, at most, to finish top of Group D before the knockout phase – and wondering what might have been had she accepted an invitation to represent Thursday night’s opponents.
“I was asked to play for them on Facebook,” says Bronze, who spent part of her childhood living off the north-east coast on Holy Island, otherwise known as Lindisfarne. “A woman called Mónica Jorge, who’s now the head of women’s football in Portugal, got in touch.
“She must have watched an England youth game I was playing in and heard it mentioned that I was half-Portuguese. http://www.authenticatlantabraves.com/Bobby-Cox-Jersey She got in touch with my mum and dad on Facebook and basically said: ‘Obviously, it’s a long shot as Lucy’s playing for England’s junior teams but if there’s ever a chance she might want to play for Portugal we’d more than welcome her into the squad and develop her.’”
Jorge may not have been overly optimistic yet the prospect of Bronze switching allegiances was not quite as remote a possibility as she imagined. “I was about 16 at the time and I didn’t break into the England senior team until I was 21,” the 25-year-old Manchester City defender says. “Before then it hadn’t looked on the horizon.
“In the end I only broke into the squad for the 2013 Euros because there were a lot of unfortunate injuries and it felt like I’d just been chucked in. Hope Powell [Sampson’s predecessor] said: ‘We’ve got a few players injured, you’re the next one in.’ So I didn’t really feel like I was properly in the squad.
“It got close to the point where I was thinking: ‘I just want to play international football and I’m just as much Portuguese as I’m English.’ It wouldn’t have felt like a disservice to England. But then the managers changed, Brent Hills [the interim head coach] played me and Mark’s played me.”
With Portugal the tournament’s bottom-ranked team and England among the favourites to lift the trophy, Bronze has no regrets before what should, Anthony DeSclafani Authentic Jersey nonetheless, be an evocative evening in the southern Netherlands against a side still in with a chance of reaching the quarter-finals.
“I’ve never faced Portugal before,” she says. “But I know two of their players. I’ve been quite close to Amanda Da Costa because I played with her at Liverpool. She was in the same situation as me – she was American but with Portuguese parents – and we used to joke that we’d go to play for Portugal together if we didn’t get the chance with the USA or England.
“Amanda’s ended up deciding on Portugal and I’ve stuck with England. At the end we’ll maybe swap shirts; it would be nice to have a Portugal shirt. http://www.authenticcincinnatireds.com/Adam-Duvall-Jersey I also know Ana Borges, who played for Chelsea, but her English isn’t fantastic so I’ve spoken to her in Portuguese a few times.”
Bronze is too modest to describe herself as fluent but she will be able to understand the chatter between Thursday night’s opponents.
“My brother was born in Portugal and we were brought up to be bilingual,” she says. “Dad used to speak to us in Portuguese but we always replied in English. That’s probably why I’m not very comfortable speaking Portuguese.”
Although “not a cricket fan” she has been inspired by the example set by England’s women cricketers in winning the World Cup. “A lot of our girls are friends with some of the cricketers,” she says. “And we share a lot of ideas and methods about building a team and having a winning mentality with the cricket girls, as well as with all sorts of other women’s sports teams.”

It was a high point at the most curious of times. In 2011, long after Scotland’s national team had slid away from finals participation and its players had been revered in the English top flight, a mini coaching phenomenon was in play. Seven of the Premier League’s 20 managers were Scottish.
To say nothing lasts forever is gross understatement in these short-term football times but the onset of season 2017-18 still provides a grim line in the sand. There will not be a single manager from north of the border when England’s top division gets under way, Damon Harrison Youth Jersey breaking a record of at least one per seasonal start which stretches back to the league’s 1992 rebranding. The run is technically even longer, given Sir Alex Ferguson took over at Manchester United six years earlier. Context is of course necessary; only five of those in Premier League office are English.
Ferguson is pivotal to this issue. His success – domestically and, crucially, in Europe – at Aberdeen almost singlehandedly put Scottish managers back on the map after Jock Stein’s monumental efforts at Celtic more than a decade earlier. Jim McLean performed similar 1980s heroics against illustrious opposition when at Dundee United but, unlike Ferguson, was never prised south.

“I would put it down purely to the fact there was a very talented period of Scottish managers, led of course by Sir Alex – no doubt that spawned opportunities for others,” says Roy Hodgson, a man experienced in the Premier League and the famed coaching schools presided over by the Scottish Football Association. “There were also very, Authentic Jarell Martin Womens Jersey very good Scottish players [in England] who finished tremendous playing careers by going on to become managers. I don’t really see anything in it other than maybe that was a golden generation.”
Alex McLeish was one of that class of 2011, albeit he admits the controversial switch from Birmingham City to Aston Villa likely hampered his career. McLeish remains one of the most knowledgeable, dedicated and experienced Scots on the football market – by way of playing and coaching – yet has found passages back to England blocked since departing Nottingham Forest in 2013. His willingness to work was illustrated by subsequent stints in Belgium and Egypt.
“There are a lot of foreign players in the Premier League,” McLeish says. “Maybe owners think English or Scots guys can’t handle that but I walked into a dressing room [at Rangers] after Dick Advocaat and galvanised a group low on confidence; Dutch players, Italian players, Scots, World Cup semi-finalists.
“You look at what David Wagner did at Huddersfield, for which you’ve got to hand it to him. On the back of that, Norwich bring in the same kind of influence [Daniel Farke]. Whether it is a fad or whatever, http://www.officialgrizzliestore.com/authentic-25-chandler-parsons-jersey.html it is certainly very current; foreign coaches are definitely the ones in vogue. But I was always taught by my mentors never to feel inferior to anyone in a coaching sense.”
Perhaps individual cases mattered more than anyone realised at the time but the woes of David Moyes, for example, in Manchester came after what the Scottish coaching guru Craig Brown describes as a “wholly unblemished record”. Did negative publicity surrounding Billy Davies or Malky Mackay resonate? There were also epic Scottish falls from grace after Premier League peaks; George Burley and Owen Coyle offer cases in point.
Evidence of a decline in the perception of Scottish managers is strong. Robbie Neilson left Hearts, then second in the Premiership, to join League One MK Dons. Although there was an element of believing he had done as much as he could in Edinburgh, Neilson was also aware of the possibility of greater exposure to top English clubs from within the Football League.

In the Football Association brochure that sanctioned the breakaway Premier League 25 years ago at the dawn of the first pay-TV deal, no mention was made of the personal fortunes it would make for the owners of the bigger clubs. Led by the self-appointed “Big Five” of Manchester United, Arsenal, Dejounte Murray Authentic Jersey Liverpool, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur, the First Division clubs had angled and threatened throughout the 1980s to leave the century-old Football League, so as not to share the new TV millions with the clubs in the three lower divisions. The FA’s culture had narrowed and curdled through that decade, which ended in 96 people being unlawfully killed at the 1989 FA Cup semi-final which the governing body itself had commissioned at Hillsborough.
The FA produced its “Blueprint for the Future of Football” just two years later, its woolly pages little more than padding for the booby trap at the heart of it: to decapitate the Football League by allowing the First Division to break away. Reflecting on this ruse years later as a profound historic mistake, Graham Kelly, the FA’s then chief executive, said the plan had been for the FA to run the new top league, just as it did the FA Cup. The club owners – referred to as chairmen then, when the game was more coy about the reality that the clubs are commercial companies with shareholders – immediately stripped the FA of that notion and went off to make their billions.
The plight of the Hillsborough families and survivors, suffering a repeating nightmare through the legal system with no support from the FA or the newly super-rich clubs, has presented a terrible contrast throughout with the Premier League’s 25 years of Sky-fuelled windfalls.
The outrage is thumped home by this coincidence of timing: that the Premier League has reached its quarter century, now wallowing in £2.8bn annual television deals, with clubs spending £50m on right-backs, in the same year that the authorities have finally brought criminal charges for those deaths 28 years ago.
The first official report by Lord Justice Taylor identified the causes of the disaster, http://www.authenticspurstore.com/George_Gervin_Jersey but the families were still somehow consigned to a 27-year campaign for the truth to be legally established by the new inquests verdicts in April 2016. It was Taylor’s second, final report into safety at sport generally which condemned the governance of football, the state of the grounds, the self-interest and greed of owners and directors, and the dismissive attitudes to supporters who stayed loyal throughout.
The clubs accepted Taylor’s recommendation for grounds to be compulsorily all-seater, which was never willed or agreed by supporters organisations who are still arguing for safe standing.
At the same time, the clubs managed to persuade the government they did not have the money to rebuild their grounds and secured grants of £200m public money, Anthony Sherman Authentic Jersey with the new millions from Sky TV’s desperate search for subscribers just over the horizon.
Taylor had argued against the supporters that seats need not necessarily mean higher prices – citing the then £6 cost of a ticket at Rangers’ Ibrox, which was virtually all seats – but the clubs wholly jettisoned that part of his report and multiplied the price of tickets 1,000%.
At the heart of the Hillsborough tragedy was the youth of so many who were killed – 37 were teenagers, many attending their first away match – because to stand on that benighted terracing cost only £6, http://www.chiefsofficialsauthentic.com/CHIEFS-BISHOP-SANKEY-JERSEY to watch one of the greatest ever Liverpool teams play an FA Cup semi-final against Brian Clough’s Nottingham Forest. It has been another betrayal of supporters and the Taylor Report that through the Premier League’s 25 years, in grounds made safe by law because the FA and clubs themselves were no longer trusted to do it themselves, young people have largely been priced out.

The weather was extreme, the refereeing controversial and much of Spain’s passing exceptional but, Bobby Clarke Authentic Jersey not for the first time, Mark Sampson’s England found a way to win in adversity. Fran Kirby’s high-calibre early finish and another outstanding late goal from Jodie Taylor left them top of Group D and on the verge of qualification for the knockout phase.
Along with torrential rain the Lionesses were forced to weather quite a technical storm from a gifted Spain side who ranked as one of the pre-tournament favourites. But, despite ceding the bulk of possession, Sampson’s defence restricted their opponents to half-chances.
“It’s a huge result for us,” said England’s coach. “We’ll look back and say this was a big moment for we found a way to win. I’m in awe of my players. It was a really memorable England performance and potentially a pivotal moment.”
Kickoff brought a sense of deja vu, along with a memory of an English triumph at this ground. Seven years ago, on another rainy Sunday in Breda, Steve McClaren’s then FC Twente side won the Eredivisie title here.
Sampson arrived in town anxious to build on England’s 6-0 deconstruction of Scotland in their opening Group D game last Wednesday and, http://www.officialflyersteamonline.com/Boyd_Gordon_Jersey in an unprecedented move, he named an unchanged starting XI. It was the first time a coach who adores rotation had done so in 55 games since taking charge.
Jorge Vilda’s Spain lined up in the 3-5-2 formation which has become their hallmark but were without Veronica Boquete, the Paris Saint-Germain false nine, a shock omission from the squad in the wake of a row about bonuses.
Spain should have scored in the opening seconds when Vicky Losada capitalised on Steph Houghton’s slip before shooting wastefully wide.
Making the most of that reprieve, England took a second-minute lead. Ellen White pounced on a loose ball before supplying Fran Kirby with a pass which left the Chelsea striker clean through. All that remained was for Kirby to give Sandra Paños “the eyes” and shape to aim one way before directing her shot inside the opposite post.
Back in the Eighty Years War between 1568 and 1648 Breda, a strategically important southern Netherlands town, was sacked five times by Spain’s armies.
Accordingly Diego Velazquez’s, famous 1625 oil painting, ’The Surrender of Breda’ depicts swashbuckling Spanish conquerors but, initially Vilda’s side looked anything but in control here.
Indeed they would have swiftly been two down had Millie Bright’s looping header from Jordan Nobbs’s deep free-kick not been disallowed for either an extremely dubious or a non-existent infringement.
The Italian referee, Carina Vitulano, had been not so subtly warned by Sampson to be mindful of some of the ploys of Vilda’s team. His pre-match media address about Spain’s “dark arts” and their being “hard to fall in love with” was clearly meant for her ears but she seemed completely unmoved.
The England coach, already aggrieved about the disallowed goal, became increasingly agitated by some feisty, yet unpunished, Spanish challenges, most notably involving Nobbs.
As the rain lashed down, the surface began cutting up and becoming ever more tricky and slippery. Jose Barea Authentic Jersey Undeterred, Spain showed off much superlative technical excellence by dominating midfield thanks to some highly impressive passing. During one 10-minute stint England, by now sitting deep and concentrating on keeping their shape, barely touched the ball.
Vildas’ players were very much in control and their football most definitely loveable. And yet, despite ceding virtually 80% of possession, the Lionesses remained sufficiently organised to ensure that such domination was not translated into chances and Karen Bardsley – who barely had a save to make – was rarely stretched.
Unperturbed by the imbalance in midfield, Sampson opted to continue with three up front for the second half but, with Jennifer Hermoso excelling in an attacking role for Spain, http://www.mavericksteamonline.com/Jose_Juan_Barea_Jersey it arguably represented a high-risk strategy. Yet if the subtlety of Hermoso’s movement and the cleverness of her link play vexed Houghton and Bright, she and her team-mates could not unlock an England defence in which Lucy Bronze shone at right-back.

A shaft of sunlight highlights a minor chip in the otherwise immaculate bright red polish adorning Toni Duggan’s fingernails. It is a high maintenance colour but Barcelona’s new attacking addition is simply not the type of woman to opt for understated neutrals: Authentic Cliff Pennington Youth Jersey taupes, beiges and nudes represent the antithesis of one of the game’s most vibrant personalities.
As she relaxes on a terrace after training at England’s Euro 2017 Utrecht base, Duggan’s strong Merseyside accent and sharp Scouse wit enliven an atmosphere already buoyant following the Lionesses’ 6-0 win over Scotland in their opening Group D game.
The 25-year-old former Manchester City striker came off the bench to score the sixth goal and could not be happier with her contribution. “It was a big relief to get off the mark,” she says. “In the past few months I’ve been hitting the bar and the post, so to score early here is good for my confidence.”
After becoming the first English footballer to move to Barcelona since Gary Lineker 31 years ago, http://www.officialangelsproshop.com/Cj_Wilson_Jersey Duggan knows the eyes of Europe are suddenly trained on her. That pressure will become even more intense when Mark Sampson’s side face Spain in Breda on Sunday night.
Considering Spain’s squad contain 10 Barça players it could be a slightly strange evening for Duggan but, typically, she is approaching the game with humour. “I’m only just starting to learn the language. I’m not too bad at reading but I’ve got a bit of a confidence problem with speaking, with going from Scouse to Spanish. At the moment I can just about say hello and goodbye, that’s about it. I can’t even say ‘pass me the ball’ or things like that yet – maybe they’re the ones I should be learning before Sunday!”
Such linguistic dilemmas are the focus for a quick, strong forward able to operate on both wings, who has long prided herself on being one of Sampson’s best and most colourfully, Authentic Clinton Portis Youth Jersey groomed Lionesses. “We have a lot of free time and learning Spanish is a nice way to switch off. I’m using Duolingo [a language learning app] but I’m sure that, when I get over there, I’ll start to really pick it up.”
For the moment though Duggan is compartmentalising the moment next month when she relocates to Catalonia. Right now attempting to win the European Championship dominates her horizon.
“I’m not thinking about showing my new Barcelona team-mates what I can do on Sunday,” she says. “That time will come but I’m not going out there in Breda to prove a point, I’m there to help England win the gold medal. It’s irrelevant to me whether I’m playing against future colleagues. At the moment, only England matters to me.”
Even so, it is sometimes difficult to prevent the future from intruding. “I’ve had a couple of messages from the Spanish girls, the Barcelona players, which was nice. I heard from the captain [Marta Torrejón] and also from Vicky Losada who used to play in England [for Arsenal]. They wished me the best, except when we play against Spain, and I said vice versa.
“The respect was nice but, come Sunday, I’ll have my England head on and it’ll be all about helping the team and forgetting about the opposition. They have quality players and it’ll be tough but, hopefully, we can smash Spain.”
Should they do so, Duggan may treat her fellow Lionesses to a repetition of the morris dance she entertained them with when England beat Germany in the third-place play-off at the last World Cup in Canada. http://www.footballredskinsprostore.com/Darrell_Green_Jersey_Cheap Regular morris dancing was part of her childhood – along with playing junior boys football and frequent pilgrimages to Anfield.
If the switch to the Camp Nou is primarily about a desire to win the Champions League after capturing the 2016 Women’s Super League title with City, it will also make Duggan a club-mate of a former Liverpool hero. “Luis Suárez’s always been a great role model for me,” she says. “His style of play is sometimes like he’s playing with his mates in the street. I like that, hopefully I can bring it to Barcelona’s women’s team.”

Of the players who scored 10 goals or more in La Liga last season, none did so with a better conversion rate than Álvaro Morata. His 55 shots yielded 15 goals, which is one of the reasons he began the summer ranked alongside Kylian Mbappé, Romelu Lukaku and Andrea Belotti as one of the four most eligible young strikers in Europe. Chelsea, Allen Barbre Womens Jersey having failed to land Lukaku (or refused to pay over the odds for him, depending whose account you prefer), pretty much had to sign one of the other three to replace Diego Costa, who will almost certainly join Atlético Madrid at some point in the next six weeks.
Morata is clearly hugely gifted. He is decent in the air, mobile and looks the part. He impressed at Juventus as well as Real Madrid, which should offer encouragement about his capacity to thrive in different environments against varying styles of defending. He has played in three of the past four Champions League finals, scoring in one of them. At 24, he is used to the rhythms and pressures of playing for an elite club.
And yet there must be concerns. Perhaps in the modern world £58m is a reasonable price – Lukaku, who cost around 25% more, has never scored in the Champions League – but this is a player who has never started more than 16 league games in a season. His role, certainly at Madrid, http://www.eaglesofficialsshop.com/Brandon_Brooks_Jersey_Cheap was largely to come off the bench to pick off tired opponents. Nine of his 17 goals in La Liga and the Champions League last season came after the hour. That is not to say he cannot score important goals – after all, in 2014‑15, he registered twice against Borussia Dortmund, twice against Madrid and against Barcelona in the knockout stages of the Champions League – but it is to say that he rarely had the opportunity to do that for Madrid, and certainly never had the pressure of being expected to do that.
A quick scan of the stats from last season suggests he had fewer shots per game, won fewer aerials, made fewer key passes and dribbled less often than Costa but the disparity in style of play, opposition and role in the side makes such comparison all but meaningless.
More fundamental is the fact that Morata is just not Costa. He does not exist in the same fug of fury, raging perpetually against sleights real and, Dalton Pompey Youth Jersey more often than not, imagined or exaggerated. He does not wage a one-man war on the opposition and the referee. He will not antagonise his marker just by looking at him. He will not lurch about, in a metaphorical cloak and top hat, like an Edwardian villain seeking an innocent maiden to bind to the railway tracks. He will not playwith the same snarl and/or simper, needling and wheedling, prising the slightest chink of opportunity into a bona fide chance.
Morata does not have the same capacity to magic a goal from nowhere, by inspiration or aggravation, that Costa does. The Brazilian’s late goal at Stamford Bridge against West Bromwich Albion last December was typical as he chased what seemed a lost cause to force an error from a defence that had been all but impeccable before finishing classily. He also got the only goal in away games against Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace, the late winners against West Ham United and Watford, and a late equaliser at Swansea City, as well as opening the scoring against Leicester City, Hull City and at home against Middlesbrough.
It is not only that Costa scored 20 goals last season, it is that nine of them were goals that had a decisive impact on the game – and that was in a season in which his form dipped significantly after Christmas as he began to eye the exit. Certain players have a quality of winningness, http://www.officialbluejaysproshop.com/Bj_Upton_Jersey a capacity to take the tide at the flood that leads on to fortune, and that in turn imbues a whole side with confidence and decisiveness. That is hard to quantify but nobody, surely, would deny that Costa, when motivated, made Chelsea a tougher, more ruthless team.

Manchester City are set to sign their second right-back in a week with Real Madrid’s Danilo on the verge of following in Kyle Walker’s footsteps and joining Pep Guardiola’s side. Alec Ogletree Authentic Jersey City have reached an agreement with Madrid to sign the 26-year-old for €30m (£26.5m) with a potential €5m in add-ons.
The signing would mean City have spent £76.5m on the two right-backs, with Walker costing an initial £50m. Guardiola was always likely to target the full-back positions after releasing Gaël Clichy, Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna at the end of last season.
However the manager views Danilo as also being able to operate at left-back and as a holding midfielder. http://www.losangelesramsauthorizedstore.com/aaron-donald-jersey-elite So if Guardiola’s pursuit of Danilo and the Monaco left-back Benjamin Mendy is successful he would not sign another left-back or a defensive midfielder.
Guardiola and City had reached an agreement in principle to sign Dani Alves after he left Juventus but the former Barcelona player opted to join Paris St-Germain. The French club had offered the Brazilian almost twice as much in wages.
Danilo joined Real Madrid from Porto in 2015 and has 15 caps for Brazil, having made his international debut in 2011. Chelsea are also interested in him but City appear to have won the race. “[While] the deal is not done, out of respect for other clubs I cannot say anything,” Guardiola said.
City’s manager refused to rule out a move for Arsenal’s Alexis Sánchez despite Arsène Wenger’s insistence the forward will not be sold. Asked about buying the 28-year-old, the manager said: “Alexis is a player from Arsenal. Arsène said that – it’s because he knows more than me. A'Shawn Robinson Authentic Jersey And for the [potential new] players I’ve said the players are of other teams so I cannot say too much. I don’t like when the other team’s managers talk about our players so for us it’s the same.”
Guardiola, who is with the City squad in Houston on a pre-season tour which includes Thursday’s derby with Manchester United, ruled out Sergio Agüero departing amid reported interest from Chelsea. “You know my opinion on Sergio – I said [it] many times last season and he’s our player,” he said. “He will remain here.”
Guardiola also claimed Claudio Bravo will be a City player next season despite the goalkeeper’s troubled first campaign and the club targeting Napoli’s Pepe Reina. However, http://www.officialauthenticlions.com/WOMENS_YOUTH_AMEER_ABDULLAH_JERSEY.html it is understood City are open to Bravo leaving if they receive an offer and the player asks to go.
City remain interested in Ryan Bertrand; Southampton’s position is they do not wish sell the left-back, though this may change. Guardiola has so far added Monaco’s attacking midfielder Bernardo Silva (£43.6m) and the Benfica goalkeeper Ederson (£34.9m) to his squad.

Hallo,
.... und wo liegt dann der Preis?

Hallo Viper1970.

Jodie Taylor simultaneously ruined Scotland’s European Championship debut and sent English optimism levels soaring courtesy of a master class in intelligent movement and perfectly weighted finishing.
Such attributes brought the Arsenal striker a hat-trick as Mark Sampson’s England suggested their status as one of the favourites to win Euro 2017 is anything but overblown.
Additional goals from Ellen White, the outstanding Jordan Nobbs and Toni Duggan rather cruelly Andrei Vasilevskiy Womens Jersey highlighted the disparity between the sides on an evening when England’s strength in midfield left Scotland chasing shadows and Taylor became the first woman to score a hat-trick for the Lionesses in a major finals.
She attended the post-match media conference along with Sampson and the match ball. “It meant a lot,” said Taylor, who has overcome a series of injuries, including a particularly serious knee problem in recent years.
“Jodie’s world class, simple as that,” Sampson said, “but the whole team were outstanding, very efficient from back to front. http://www.officialtampabaylightning.com/Adidas-Alex-Killorn-Jersey It’s exciting for me to watch this team play, to see how good we can become over, hopefully, the next five matches.
“We’ve found a way to enjoy these pressured occasions. We’ve got to keep working hard and we’ve a difficult game against Spain on Sunday but we’re completely confident we can become the best team in the world.”
It must have made chastening viewing for Anna Signeul, Scotland’s manager, down in the technical area and Nicola Sturgeon up in the posh seats.
At first Scotland’s first minister would have been cheered when, after only 20 seconds, Jane Ross tried her luck with a 30-yard shot that the England goalkeeper Karen Bardsley looked mighty relived to put over the bar for a corner.
If that offered Sturgeon any cause for optimism, it was soon dampened. Almost immediately England’s right-sided combination, Lucy Bronze and Nobbs, began causing Scotland multiple problems.
Appropriately, Bronze’s through pass created England’s opener for Taylor. With Scotland holding a dangerously high line, the right-back initially looked to have played in Fran Kirby but, Authentic Aaron Burbridge Womens Jersey instead, the Chelsea forward – famously dubbed England’s “mini Messi” by Sampson two years ago – took out two markers courtesy of a fabulous dummy. It left Taylor clean through and the pacy striker proceeded to shoot England ahead.
The Lionesses believe that, since finishing third in the 2015 World Cup in Canada, their fitness levels have risen by 23% courtesy of much intense physical conditioning from Ben Young, who has worked with the England rugby union team. They certainly looked in daunting shape as Scotland could, at times, have been forgiven for wondering if qualifying for their first major tournament had really been such a good idea after all.
They fell further behind when another slice of Kirby skill saw her hacked down by Rachel Corsie. Nobbs took the free-kick which Signeul’s defence failed to clear. http://www.sanfrancisco49ersauthorizedstore.com/aaron-lynch-jersey-elite As the ball ricocheted around the box, Bronze sent a header goalwards that was hacked off the line before Taylor gave another reminder of her predatory instincts by lashing home from six yards.
Ifeoma Dieke and Vaila Barsley, Scotland’s normally robust centre-half partnership had been deconstructed well before White claimed the third. It involved Jill Scott shooting from distance, goalkeeper Gemma Fay doing very well to tip the ball on to the bar and the on-rushing White immediately pouncing on the rebound and crisply redirecting it beyond her.
Tartan-clad fans attempted to lift their team’s morale with a few choruses of Flower of Scotland http://www.sanfrancisco49ersauthorizedstore.com/ahkello-witherspoon-jersey-elite while also unfurling a banner in their VIP guest’s honour emblazoned with “Happy Birthday Nicola”. Sturgeon turned 47 on Wednesday and as the interval whistle final blew Dieke and company probably felt double that age.
Admittedly the ever industrious Ross menaced sporadically but the lone striker was far too isolated and must have felt increasingly envious of the sort of service Taylor and White enjoyed.
